So, the babies have really started blossoming this 17th month! they are both starting to say more words and adding a few more signs to their repetoire too.
They now say "Dada" quite a bit now... and don't whisper it anymore (though that was pretty cute)...
The cutest thing this month has been both of them bringing us our shoes. They usually bring both matching shoes together, but sometimes its just one, and we'll ask them to bring the other, and they do! What little helpers!
AND, Davis is such a big helper, he'll go and get Jessa's pacifier and blanket and give them to her! Jessa... on the other hand will steal Davis's and keep them... ah... sibling rivalry and love starts early! The pacifiers and sleep blankies are left in their cribs... so they usually have to make an effort of reaching into the crib if they are in their room to get them. Its pretty cute and sweet.
They still like to go to sleep with their pacifiers and blankies and inside a sleep sack (a wearable blanket that keeps their torso/legs/feet/toes all toasty). Usually they keep the pacifier clipped on their sleep sack but sometimes they would lose it... so I attached a pacifier on a ribbon to one of the crib slats... Jessa doesn't really care for hers, but if Davis is desperate enough and has thrown his other paci overboard he'll sleep close to the side of the crib with that pacifier... pretty cute. I need to get a picture of that.
We got our yard fenced in and are really enjoying it more now that we don't have to worry about the babies running off towards the lake or other dangers! and they've been climbing up the big wooden playset themselves, and sliding down the big slides. they are very adventerous!
