We started off eating our breakfast of a wholegrain oatmeal mixture, and now Mommy's giving us choices for "toppings" too! yummy. Davis loves the coconut flakes and sunflower & pumpkin seeds, and Jessa loves just the coconut flakes. Next Mommy decided to get crazy and let us 'help' plant her new garden! Daddy built her a raised bed frame - about 6 ft by 10 ft - and filled it with compost from our local mushroom farm.
We were crazy excited and loved getting a little dirty and trying to push the seeds in the ground and cover them up! We planted Corn first, then Red Peppers, Lettuce, Leeks and Eggplant. WOW! We need some more dirt so that we can plant the carrots, and mommy needs to get a few more seeds to fill up our garden. Mommy is thinking tomatoes, cucumbers... and who knows what else will tickle her fancy at the store!
After gardening, we played a bit on the swings and in the sand. Then it was bathtime! and then lunch and naptime. We slept from about 1p to 3:20p and got up for a yummy snacktime. We had some great granola bars from a wonderful new recipe that mommy's been playing with. Our nanny accidently quadrupled the "toppings" on it last week and they were so yummy but fell apart, so this week we made them with 'just' double the toppings of chocolate chips, coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds and the sunflower seeds. They are so delicious! We'll get mommy to post the recipe in another post.
Next it was time to feed the fish and ducks at the lake. We took all our old bread scraps and went to our neighbors dock and had a great time feeding them! We feed the fish there so often that they don't need much of an invitation to come! We dropped in a couple of pieces of bread and swarms of them came! The ducks needed a bit more coaxing, but we got several eager eaters! On the way back to the house we took a small detour and convinced mommy that we could play on our dock and put our sticks in the water. It was a fun time! At one point mommy looked over and thought Jessa was looking at a stick on the dock... nope she had squatted and pulled her pants down and peed - right on the dock! I think she was aiming for peeing over the edge... but she was at least very skilled to not get her jeans or rain boots wet!
Then a few minutes later mommy looked over and saw Jessa squatting up in the grass... uh oh! Well, sure enough Jessa needed to go potty too! Oh my! Crazy girlie! Jessa... you know a benefit from not having a dog is not having to clean up after it! Now you got mommy cleaning up after you in the yard! Silly girl!

So a few minutes later we headed inside. What a big day we had. Mommy now wanted to fix dinner, so she popped in a dvd... how fun! It was the Yoga Kids dvd! We love it! We even got our yoga mats out and set them up. We love doing the various poses! The yoga instructor does ABCs so there's one pose per letter, starting with Alligator where you lay down and then do a chomp chomp with your arms, and then the picture is of "Butterfly" where our legs are like the butterfly wings. Very cute. And very entertaining for two little ones!
Anyway, that was about it for the day, we had dinner then some reading, a 10 minute timer for nursing time, then brushed our teeth, fed the cats and went to bed. We were in bed by 8pm, which was a bit early for us, though mommy would love it if we actually slept by 8pm every night. It was a fun day and we thought we'd share it for the fun parts and the silly ones too!
